    Lulu's Story

One day five years ago, Tina's daughter was driving on a busy section of interstate high 77 and spotted a puppy trying to cross the busy highway. Knowing that the puppy would not make it across the highway alive, she pulled over and rescued the puppy. She knew she would not be able to keep the puppy and would have to find a home for it. When she got home, she took some pictures of it, then emailed them to her mom.

When Tina McCrae saw the pictures, her heart melted. She had never had a dog before, but this little dog captured her heart. She knew that she must adopt this little dog. She drove up to her daughter's house and brought the puppy back home with her.

Over the past five years, Lulu has been a delight for both Tina and her husband. She continues to bring joy to their lives each and every day.

If you are thinking about getting a pet, please consider adopting from the S.P.C.A. or other rescue group. There are many wonderful pets like Lulu just waiting to give their love and spread their joy.

    "Lulu"

On Sunday October 30, 2011, The Sumter S.P.C.A. hosted it's annual Mutt Strut and fund raiser. This was a fun filled day for many pet owners in the area, which was evident by the large turn-out.

This also marked the start date for The Pet Portrait raffle. The raffle was for an 11" x 14" Pen and Ink Pet Portrait. The drawing took place on December 15th, 2011. The winner of the drawing was Tina McCrae and her dog, Lulu. All of the proceeds from the raffle go to help the animals at the Sumter S.P.C.A.

In an effort to continue to help support the S.P.C.A., 10% of all Pet Portrait commissions I do in the Sumter area will be donated to the Sumter S.P.C.A.
